About this project

Clubhouse Collector is a free map for keeping track of the golf courses you've played. Open a state, tick the courses you've played, and watch your collection fill in — from the muni down the road to the bucket-list resort.

The goal isn't to rank courses or tell anyone where to play. It's to make it satisfying to keep track of where you already have.

What you can do

Browse thousands of courses by state, or search by name or city.
Filter by what's in view on the map, played or unplayed, course type and number of holes. The progress bar always reflects the filters you've chosen.
See your stats and state-by-state achievements.
Find the nearest course you haven't played yet.
Plan a road trip between courses, with estimated distances and a link to Google Maps for directions.

Sign in with Google if you'd like your collection to follow you across your phone and computer. Without signing in, everything stays in your own browser.

How the course data works

Course locations come from open map data (see the credits below), combined with a smaller set of courses that were researched and annotated by hand. Please treat it as a helpful guide, not an official record:

Coverage is uneven. Some states are well covered and others have far fewer courses than really exist. We're working on filling the gaps.
Details can be missing. Course type (public, semi-private, private) and hole counts are only shown when the source has them; otherwise they're marked unknown.
Always check before you go. Names, locations and access rules change. Confirm with the course, especially for private clubs.

Credits & data licenses

Course data: © OpenStreetMap contributors, distributed by OpenGolfAPI, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. The whole course list, including the descriptions and notes we added, is available as open data under that license. If you reuse it, you must credit OpenStreetMap contributors and share any database you build from it under the same license. See Open data for the downloads and the credit line to use.
Satellite imagery (when shown): Powered by Esri. Esri, Vantor, Earthstar Geographics, and the GIS User Community.
State outlines: U.S. Census Bureau cartographic boundary files (public domain), simplified.
Metro area outlines: U.S. Census Bureau, Core Based Statistical Areas (2018 boundaries), simplified.
Software: Leaflet, Turf.js, d3-delaunay, and the Fraunces and IBM Plex fonts (SIL Open Font License), served by Google Fonts.
